Famed artist performs in Old Town | Events

 Award-winning singer/songwriter Jana Mashonee will be performing a free concert at the Old Town Gazebo July 17 at 6:30 p.m., followed by an autograph signing at Studio 13 Native American Art Gallery.

Jana Mashonee is a Grammy-nominated Lumbee Indian artist originally from North Carolina. She released her fourth album, “New Moon Born,” in 2009 and has toured throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe. Mashonee is known for her dedication to and efforts to give back to the Native community, and has established a nonprofit organization, “Jana’s Kids” that provides scholarships to Native youth.
