Hispanic Cultural Center to present New Year's Eve treat | Arts & Culture

On a journey through Vienna and Austria...The Figueroa Music and Arts Project Symphony Orchestra will perform at the National Hispanic Cultural Center Monday, Dec. 31 for New Year's Eve at 8 p.m.
The orchestra will help evoke the musical compositions of Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert and Strauss.
"With the orchestra in gowns and tails, we will evoke the atmosphere of New Year's celebrations from the eras in which these great composers might themselves have been playing or conducting." Guillermo Figueroa project music director said. "This concert will definitely be on the fun and frolic side of the classical music spectrum."
The audience is encouraged to dress in formal attire.
The concert will be followed by a reception limited to 100 guests, featuring wines from Casa RondeƱa Winery. Tickets range from $22 to $60, and the reception is an additional $20. Tickets for students with a valid student IDs are available for $10.
