Veterans' Preference/Recognition Hiring Program Begins | Business
As of May 31, Veterans and currently serving military personnel will have a better chance of getting a job in the City of Albuquerque thanks to the new Veterans' Preference/Recognition program introduced by Mayor Richard J. Berry.
The preference program was established to further recognize the personal sacrifice Veterans make to preserve the freedoms we enjoy in the United States.
“Veterans are the heart of our nation, the least we can do is help them integrate back into the communities they are willing to die for,” said Mayor Berry. “With such high numbers of returning Veterans we're eager to put their hard earned skills and training to work for the betterment of our city.”
Additionally as a result of the preference program, all city job application forms will have a Veterans' section.
