Father's Day Gifts For All Dads

Father’s day is just around the corner and if you haven’t found that perfect dad gift yet, we have you covered.

Many retailers are offering special discounts for those special men in our lives. Sears is having a 15 % off discount for all men’s clothing and accessories through June 16 with the code DAD13.

Macy’s will provide free shipping on orders of $100 or more with the code 2STYLE.

Kohl’s is also removing 15 % off select men’s clothing and shoes through June 16 with promo code DADSDAY15.

If dad is the gadget genius, check out Best Buy stores which are holding father’s day sales without any codes. Headphones or a portable car charger for his cell phone might be ideal.

For the outdoorsy dad, Wal-Mart is a great place for grills, hiking equipment, and fishing gear.

Local restaurant offers traditional food

Local restaurant offers traditional food

A new restaurant in Albuquerque features traditional Native American cuisine on its menu.

The Red Feather Diner and Trading Post in Old Town, opened earlier this month and is serving elk and buffalo as part of Native American dishes it has on its menu. Other menu items include traditional New Mexican food, gluten-free and vegetarian options.

The owners of the restaurant, David and Rebecca Red Feather, also own the Red Feather Gallery. The gallery opened two years ago and features clothing, “body and spirit products,” as well as art.

David said they have had a supportive experience in the square and wanted to stay in the area when they expanded their business.

“We have found a wonderful community of artists and businesses in Old Town,” David said. “Times have been tough, but we are working together to help each other.”
