Star Center kicks off Holiday season festivities

 

Visit the Santa Ana Star Center this November 9th and 10th to begin getting into the holiday spirit with wine, food and shopping.

From 12pm to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday, the Star Center will be hosting the event, which includes giveaways, free sampling and tasting, as well as ideas for crafting.

Visitors will also get the chance to preview ideal meal and cooking ideas along with specialists guide to perfectly paired wines and spirits for the holidays.

Tickets are $20 per person and includes a souvenir wine glass, sampling, seminars, and live music entertainment.

The Santa Ana Star Center is located at 3001 Civic Center Cir. NE, Rio Rancho, NM.

TV show 'Breaking Bad' items for sale

NM Goodwill Industries is having a special sale event in honor of the AMC award-winning show “Breaking Bad” this Saturday, September 14th at 5000 San Mateo Blvd.

The AMC TV show had donated many items from their set to Goodwill in which will be sold at the special sale event.

Artwork, home décor, furniture, and other recognizable items from the show can all be found at the event.

“With this event, not only will Breaking Bad fans be able to purchase show memorabilia, but proceeds from the sale will benefit Goodwill’s free programs and services for New Mexicans,” Shauna O’Cleireachain, Goodwill Industries of New Mexico’s CAO, said in a news release. “Goodwill is grateful for ‘Breaking Bad’s’ generous donation and we are excited to allow fans an opportunity to have a piece of this iconic show.”

Staples, the world’s largest office products company and second largest internet retailer, is proud to announce it will be hosting Teacher Appreciation Days across the country to make it easy for teachers to get the classroom supplies they need.

On Saturday, August 3, the first 100 Teachers Rewards members visiting Staples stores will receive a free shopping bag plus 20 percent back in Staples Rewards on everything they can fit in the bag, although some exclusions apply.

Looking for a Breaking Bad fix? This Saturday from 4-7 p.m., Routes Bicycle Rentals & Tours will be offering an intimate and interactive biking experience that takes visitors and locals to key locations from Breaking Bad, the popular Emmy award-winning television series.

Because the show is filmed in Albuquerque, there is no shortage of “famous” sites throughout the city.

The tour will begin with a unique and random lottery from among five of the show’s main characters that determines the perspective and sequence of locations guests will visit on their tour.
